Third, we have orders from GSA Schedule contracts. The wide world of GSA Schedule contracts has its own section of the FAR detailing the ordering process. In FAR 8.405 (Ordering Procedures for Federal Supply Schedules), you can find all the various requirements for ordering, which vary based on factors like dollar value and whether the requirement includes a statement of work or not.

GSA Schedule contracts have many names, including GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contracts, Federal Supply Schedule contracts, and simply "Schedule contracts." The grand idea behind GSA Schedule contracts is to create a set of long-term, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), master contracts against which any federal agency can place orders.
